The Health for All Film Festival

16 – 22 May 2020

WHO receives nearly 1300 entries for inaugural film festival

For its inaugural Health for All film festival, WHO received 1265 submissions from 119 countries. Entries focused on a wide range of topics, such as the challenges of providing health-care in remote areas and countries in conflict, the realities of living and battling cancer, and the courage and resilience of nurses and midwifes in the face of the most challenging of circumstances.

The Health for All Film Festival66顺彩票app aims to put storytelling power in the hands of film-makers and seeks to showcase the role of individuals and communities as champions for health and well-being.

Filmmakers were invited to submit a short film for one of three categories: video reports, animation or nurses and midwives (2020 is the International Year of the Nurse and the Midwife).

Film has a unique ability to make us feel, laugh, cry and think - to influence how we behave and the decisions we make. Filmmakers have the potential to influence health and catalyze change.
